The Doula access fund
bridging the gap in prenatal support
Our mission is simple: to make doula care equitable, culturally competent, and accessible for every family in our community.
Too often, families want and need doula support but cannot afford it. Research shows that having a doula improves birth outcomes, reduces medical interventions, and provides much-needed emotional support. Yet, many families—especially Black, Brown, and low-income families—are left without this essential care.
That’s why I started the Hands That Hold Doula Access Fund. This fund helps cover the cost of prenatal visits, labor and birth support, and postpartum care for families who would otherwise go without.
100% of donations go directly to client care. This $1,600 donated provides a client:
Prenatal education and preparation
Continuous support during labor and birth
Postpartum visits and breastfeeding/lactation support
A compassionate, nonjudgmental presence every step of the way
Your donation will help Hands That Hold serve a family who is facing financial hardship ensuring they feel supported, empowered, and heard throughout their birthing journey. A portion of revenue made to Hands That Hold will contribute to the access fund.
Whether you give $5 or $500, every contribution makes a difference. Together, we can help bridge the gap and make doula care a reality for more families.
Please donate if you’re able and share this campaign with others who believe every family deserves care and dignity.
